I recently uploaded premiere audio from this first year at CMU to streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.
This includes the audio from earlier this spring when I had the exciting opportunity to have a new work for string quintet, Commence, read by members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra!
Thank you so much to the musicians and staff of the PSO, to the CMU faculty who set up this reading session, and to Kristian Tchetchko for recording!
Happy listening!
I am happy to be able to share the audio-video from my premieres at this year's CMU Composition Studio Concerts!
More information on both For Once, Then, Something and Colorful Quartet can be found on the Music page of this site as well as in the description of the linked YouTube videos. Thank you so much to the performers, and happy listening!
Just yesterday I had the amazing opportunity to hear my new composition Earth-Sky Adoration read by Grammy-winning Akropolis Reed Quintet!
In addition to being amazed by the playing level of this ensemble, I was very appreciative of their helpful comments and critiques. Some parts of the composition were workshopped or even revised during the 45-minute reading session, and I was very grateful to have this chance to interact with such a skilled and supportive group of players!
Thank you to Akropolis Reed Quintet as well as the CMU faculty and staff involved in making this reading and recording session possible!
